City tour

Programme starts in city centre, at Hotel InterContinental..First sight is House of Hungarian Parliament (outside visit). After crossing the Danube on the Margaret-Bridge, Margaret-Island, heart of Budapest is on right hand side, and drive to the Royal Castle area in Buda, guests visit the Matthias Church and the Fishermen’s Bastion. Next stop is a photostop at Gellért Hill. Crossing the Elisabeth-Bridge tour comes back to Pest, to downtown and continues by the visit to Heroes’ Square (Promenade). Driving along the Andrássy út and passing by the Opera and St. Stephen’s Basilica coach reaches Hotel InterContinental.

Jewish Budapest tour

Hop on – Hop off boat tour
Get acquainted with the highlights of our capital city from the Danube. The tour starts in the downtown at the Vigadó square, and there are 3 stopover. Passing by the imposing building of the Parliament you can admire the panorama of the Margaret Island. The Castle District – the Royal Castle – the Matthias Church – the Fishermen’s Bastion are located on the Castle Hill, the Liberation Monument and the Citadel are on the Gellért Hill. Continuing the tour in the southern direction you can see the bridges of Budapest, the National Theatre, the Palace of Arts. Getting back you can see the universities of Budapest, the Central Market Hall.

Duna Bella – a daytime sightseeing cruise

Duna Bella programme is a pleasant hour on board, sailing between the splendid vision of Buda and Pest and one hour walk on Margaret Island. A sparkling cocktail and a choice of wine, beer or soft drink served on board.

Danube Legend – an evening sightseeing cruise

An evening sightseeing cruise on the river, combined with a sound and vision show. The boat departs from the centre of Budapest and makes an hour round trip in the city. While you are enchanted by the illuminated sights, famous Hungarian historical personalities, kings, queens poets, inventors and even the Danube tells you legendary stories about the town. Through TV screens – hanged every where on board – you are able to look behind the walls of the buildings passing by, to admire the hidden interiors. The programme ends with the Blue Danube Waltz which whispers in your ears any time you remember the tour.

Dinner & Cruise


A one and a half hours long cruise with live music and an excellent warm buffet-dinner. In the romantic candlelight atmosphere you can enjoy the wonderful view of the city swimming in light. After dinner you can also admire the panorama from the open upper deck of the ship.
DINNER & CRUISE program is also available without dinner.
If you book a cruise only with drinks, you can enjoy the beautiful night panorama over a
glass of champagne and another glass of soft drink, wine or beer.

Concerts, performaces, folklore evenings

Gala performance of Epona Spanish Riding School at Castle of Buda
The Spanish Riding School of the Hungarian Royal Guards was established more than 70 years ago, in 1939, In this riding school the most talented riders trained their horses to perform the most difficult exercises, and they regularly held special shows in front of a huge audience, for example in the riding school built especially for this purpose at the Castle of Buda.
Today the building of the riding school can’t be seen in the Castle, but the gala performce
of Spanish Riding School is shown again: every week from 5th May on Thursday, Friday
and Saturday at 9 pm.

Folklore performance on stage

The three best Hungarian folk ensembles with the longest tradition – Hungarian State Folk Ensemble (Budai VigadĂł), the Danube Folk Ensemble and RajkĂł Folk Ensemble (in the Danube Palace) have performances all around the country and abroad.
All the three of the ensembles consist of 30 artists. Their choreographies are based on authentic dances. Some of them were collected in isolated villages and date back hundreds of years. Through the performed dances you can get a broad view of the music, dance and costume heritage of Hungary and the Hungarian inhabited areas.
Every concert starts at 20:00, and consists of twice 40-45 minutes, with an intermission.

Folklore evening tour

You can spend an enjoyable evening in the illuminated ’Paris of the East’ at a traditional restaurant – after an aperitif a 3-course menu with wine will be served for you accompanied by a varied folklore show – programme. After dinner you make a stop the Citadel and have a marvellous view on the illuminated city. Duration: 4 hours

Danube Symphony Concert at Danube Palace

We offer this programme to our guests who are interested in classical music. The Danube Symphony Orchestra is excellent and outstanding in the Hungarian classical music life.
The orchestra consists of 60 professional musicians, who play in chamber orchestras as well. The Danube Symphony Orchestra was established in 1961 and since then it has become more and more popular, acknowledged and well-known. They do not give performances only in Hungary, but they have been invited to many foreign countries. They have had a great success in Germany, France, Switzerland or in Italy.
The symphony concerts are organised on Saturdays in the Danube Palace. Every concerts start at 20.00 and consist of twice 45 minutes with 10 minutes intermission.

Organ concert at St.Stephen Basilica


The St. Stephen’s Basilica is one of the most beautiful neo-classical buildings of Budapest. This is the most important church in Hungary, one of the most significant tourist attractions and the third highest building in our country.
The construction started in 1851, according to the plans of MiklĂłs Ybl, and was completed by JĂłzsef Kauser in 1905. In the next 50 years the church suffered from wars, storms and earthquakes. The church was reconstructed 1983-2003.
The program of the concert was adapted by Miklos Teleki. Together with Virágh András, they belong to some of the best organ artists in Hungary. The arias of the program are performed by Kolos Kováts, one of the most famous concert an oratorio singer in Hungary. Among numerous prices, in 1992 he received also the highest prize hungarian artist can aquire: the Kossuth Prize. The flute is played by Eleonóra Krusic who is already known for her performances with different orchestras from Barcelona to Zürich, Graz and Vienna.
Every concert starts at 20:00, and takes about 65 minutes, without intermission.

Szentendre tour (halfday tour)

Szentendre – Artists’ village – We take you to the picturesque village Szentendre – we visit the magnificent Caprice Hungarian Jewellery Museum – Multimedia Presentation – visiting Marzipanmuseum – after a walk through the baroque centre of the town – we return by boat to Budapest on the Danube – the tour ends at the Pier/City-Centre.

Royal tour (Halfday tour to Gödöllő)

Visit to the former Summer-Residence of Queen Elisabeth (Sissi) in Gödöllő (the second largest baroque chateau of the world) – interior visit. Return to Budapest – Tour ends at the city centre at the Hotel InterContinental. Opportunity for coffee break (optional, not incl.) Duration: 4 hours

Hungarian Cultural Heritage – Skanzen tour (halfday)

Enter into the spirit of the countryside as it was at the end of the 19th century.
Handicraft masters work in the houses and yards, sheep bleat in the detached farmstead, the water mill is crushing grain, and the delicious smell of strudel comes from the bakery… The buildings are arranged just like they were in the original villages, and you can get to know the daily lives of adults and children through the objects they used. Travel around the museum on a horse-carriage* and taste our garlic and cream flavored traditional fried dough* made in original furnace. Duration: 3,5 hours

Danube Bend tour (fullday tour)

The Danube Bend – an excursion into Hungary’s history – we take you to Esztergom, (Center of the Catholic Church) – interior visit of the Cathedral after that we go to Visegrád Szentendre (guided walk) – we visit the magnificent „Caprice” Hungarian Jewellery Museum – coffee the former Royal Residence – after Lunch (3-course menu) we carry on to and softdrinks – return to Budapest on the Danube by boat – the tour ends at the Pier/City Centre.

Puszta tour (fullday tour)

Spend an unforgettable day in the Puszta – we go to KecskemĂ©t, (guided walk) and further on to Lajosmizse, where you are welcomed with a traditional Hungarian Drink after the great perfromance of the famous horsemen and a carriage ride through the Puszta – a typical Hungarian meal (3-course Menu with wine) is served in the „csárda” accompanied of gipsy music. The tour ends in Budapest at your hotel. Duration: 8 hours.

Balaton Lake & Herend tour (fullday tour)

First stop of the tour is in Herend, int he world-famous town of Porcelain – after a guided tour through the world’s largest porcelain manufactory, (founded in 1826), coffee at the „Porcelanium” – possibility for shopping – afterwards we go to the Tihany Peninsula, the famous nature reserve, (interior visit of the Abbey, founded in 1051) – then lunch in a traditional Csárda, (3-course menu with wine) – drive to the oldest spa, Balatonfüred (Promenade) – return to Budapest – tour ends at your hotel.
